Updated October 27, 2026 · Samsung Wallet USDC is rolling out this week in the U.S.

Samsung Wallet USDC vs Wise vs Remitly vs Western Union: Which Is Cheapest?

Samsung Wallet now lets eligible U.S. Galaxy users hold and send USDC with no Samsung fee to external wallets. Here is how it compares with money transfer apps on real, dated quotes, what your recipient pays to cash out, and which network to pick.

Bottom line: On October 27 quotes, Samsung Wallet → USDC wallet beats Wise, Remitly and Western Union for Mexico and the Philippines if your recipient can sell USDC cheaply on a local exchange. For India and Vietnam, Remitly was cheaper on the same day. If your recipient needs cash or a plain bank deposit, compare against Samsung's bank payout option, whose fees are shown in the app before you confirm.
Network tip: The big local exchanges we checked (Coins.ph and PDAX in the Philippines, Bitso in Mexico) accept USDC on Solana. None of them lists USDC on Sui as a deposit network today. If Samsung Wallet lets you choose, pick the network your recipient's exchange supports. Sending on the wrong network can lose funds.

Where can your recipient cash out USDC?

Samsung charges nothing to send USDC to an outside wallet. The real cost moves to the other end: your recipient's exchange charges to turn USDC into pesos. Here is what we found (checked October 27, 2026).

What is Samsung Wallet USDC?

Samsung began switching on USDC in Samsung Wallet for eligible U.S. Galaxy users in the last week of October 2026. You can hold and send USDC, a U.S. dollar stablecoin, without a separate crypto app or private keys. Transfers require biometric authentication on your registered device.

How to send USDC with Samsung Wallet (step by step)

  1. Update Samsung Wallet on your Galaxy phone and open it.
  2. Tap Buy Stablecoin. USDC appears as the default dollar stablecoin. Funding method: confirm in app
  3. Choose Send, then pick a recipient: a crypto wallet address or a bank account.
  4. For a wallet address, ask your recipient which network their exchange accepts (usually Solana for Coins.ph, PDAX and Bitso) and make sure it matches.
  5. Review fees and estimated delivery time, then confirm with your fingerprint or face.

FAQ

Does Samsung charge a fee to send USDC?

Not for transfers to external crypto wallets. Recipient wallet providers or exchanges may charge their own fees. Bank account payouts in local currency do carry fees, shown in the app before you confirm.

Should I send on Solana or Sui?

Use the network your recipient's wallet or exchange supports. As of October 27, 2026, Coins.ph, PDAX and Bitso list USDC on Solana but not on Sui. Self-custody Sui wallets such as Slush accept USDC on Sui, where transfers are gasless.

Do I need SUI or SOL tokens to send?

No. Samsung Wallet supports USDC only at launch and does not support the SUI token. Network costs are handled for you; on Sui, USDC transfers are gasless.

Which countries can receive bank payouts?

More than 60 countries. The list is shown in the app. Transfers to sanctioned jurisdictions are prohibited.

Is my USDC safe in Samsung Wallet?

USDC is held by Bastion with Coinbase as sub-custodian. Transfers require biometric authentication on your registered device. USDC is a stablecoin, not a bank deposit, and is not FDIC insured.

Can I pay in stores with USDC?

Not yet. Samsung says future features may include paying online or in store with stablecoins.
